English artist David Hockney goes iPad (after also going iPhone)...
David Hockney has swapped his sketch pad for an iPad. From the upstairs bedroom at his Yorkshire home in the seaside town of Bridlington, he sits using his fingers to create digi-art which he sends out as emails.
Most surprising part of the story - Bridlington? Really... I can't imagine anywhere less exotic.
The traditionalists go wild, of course. Which made me wonder what the reaction was back in the day when somebody first invented paint...
"You're going to grind up plants and minerals, mix them with oil and spread them on stretched canvas?
What the hell for?
Isn't scratching on the wall with a lump of coal good enough for you?"
