Today was a day for catching up on some things. I had lunch with a friend who lost his wife in somewhat similar circumstances a couple of years ago, then I had a counseling appointment, which went well again. I also arranged for Cleo(patra) the stray cat we took in a few months ago, to be spayed next week. She was about two months old when one of youth group kids found her roaming the memorial garden at church. Sue brought her home to feed her and look for "the real owner". Hmm, yeah, that lasted a long time, although every indication is that she was just dumped. Anyway, now she's a healthy five pounds she can be spayed so yeah, let's get that done ASAP. Here she is, by the way:
Cute little thing. Three cats is probably too many, though, so I'm looking for a good home for her.
Then I called a landscaper about getting an estimate for the back yard. Maybe I should post "before" pictures of the jungle, so you can see just how good the "after" will be.
Then I finally went to youth group, where we had a Halloween costume party. Me, I went as Dave Paisley, youth leader, so it wasn't much of a stretch, costume wise.
We played Halloween themed games, including Pumpkin Bowling and Pumpkin Juggling. Check Youtube real soon for just what that entails. Suffice it to say that I had a good time, and much fun was had by all.
Oh, and here's the other new addition to the family:
