Well, there was the trip to England. And then the "I really should post something now I'm back" thought.
Except that, well, the next day I was playing music in church. Unrehearsed. Yeah, that was interesting. Then it was back to work, you know, the place that gives me money that pays the bills and stuff.
And then on Wednesday the National Episcopal Cursillo Committee showed up at my church for the remainder of the week (my wife is a member) and two of them (other than my wife, who stays here every night) stayed at my house for the duration. That would be my "barely moved in and still figuring out where the light switches are" house, of course.
And then there was the big BBQ last night and the big church party tonight, and then tomorrow some of them leave for the airport at 4 am. FOUR ACK EMMA!!!!
So, whatcha gonna do? Meanwhile my all-time favorite baseball website went sideways due to server implosion or some such nuclear problem that probably only Iraqi terrorists can fully understand and some Muslim wacko goes apeshit in Seattle, killing one woman and critically injuring others. Perhaps this is telling:
In March, police arrested Haq (the perpetrator) for exposing himself at a shopping mall...
Hmm, pretty sure that's not a basic tenet of muslim belief...
So, yeah, it's summer and hot here in Seattle but life rolls on.
